The last time I was in Iqaluit, I saw a great local poster of several Inuit children in seal skin parkas hugging a baby calf and saying save the baby Veals. Use of sealskin leverages 1000s of years of craftsmanship, preserves traditional culture and diet, generates income for a population who live below the poverty line, and promotes the 100 mile diet concept; and the resulting clothing doesnt have the carbon footprint and other costs of shipping synthetic parkas 10,000 km from a clothing factory in China. - Peter Turner Yukon Territory, Canada
