Sorry Sophia Wright I had to clean up your post....... I dont want to give a link or promote that group on this page. *** NOTICE - Supporters of Project Coyote are planning public protests at PCH intersections in Seal Beach concerning the trapping of coyotes in order to attempt to reverse the citys efforts to protect their residents, children, and pets. Not sure where a special interest group from California derives the moral authority to tell Seal Beach residents that their pets & childrens lives are worth less than coyotes. Maybe it would be worthwhile to move the memorial tree for lost pets to the site of one of these demonstrations to represent the dismissive, hypocrisy of these efforts. They are also planning on filling up the meeting on October 13th with protesters. Please try to attend so that their voice does not drown out the needs of actual residents who have suffered the most. Project Coyote is a national organization with substantial lobbying resources. Dont underestimate their ability to overwhelm communities and distort this population level issue into one of extermination of a species Here is the groups action plan: Create a prompt of what you are going to say. Include points you want to make and questions you have about their current and future strategies. Ask if you can use them for quotes. If you do, please send them here and I will post them. Organize a peaceful protest. The trappings are set to begin the week of September 29th and will last for two weeks. Areas to organize include: at the intersections of PCH and 1st St, PCH and Main St, or PCH and Seal Beach Blvd; in front of City Hall; at Gum Grove Park; at the Seal Beach Pier. Organizing a peaceful protest? Send me the information and I will post it. Attend the October 13th Council Meeting where the results of the trapping efforts will be released. If you don’t live in Seal Beach, but deal with coyotes, raise awareness in your area. These problems don’t appear overnight. This blog will have resources and articles to assist you in your efforts. If you find additional resources, send it on over! Live in the area and don’t want to see this in your city? Contact your council members:
