Sorry about how small the photo is, I am not certain where the original is so I can scan it again right now. The man to the right is my Grandfather Antone Martin (I NEVER called him Grandpa or anything else like that, he was Ba Boa because I couldnt say avô :D. The little boy I can only surmise is my dad. What prompted me to post this was the clay jug I have in my living room. My father use to have a pretty powerful reminder for me to go to school. You see he had dropped out of school (Alviso) in the 6th grade to work on the farm. He use to tell me while I am at school he was out walking up and down the rows in the field looking at a horses ass, yes a horse drawn plow. This jug was what he used to keep water in to drink while working all day long in the sun. He keep it under the cauliflower leaves to keep it cool. Its now a treasure of mine. He walked behind that horse up and down the fields between what is now Fremont Bl up to what is now Niles Bl by Logan. That was all fields he worked as a boy.
