Sorry bout the long post but Im an old pinstriper/custom painter from 70/80 era and this site made my day so Il post what I put on my status.. Just went to a fb site Custom Van Appreciation Society and took a trip to my past. Custom vans were what I grew up with, rolling tapestries of the art of the day. When creativity had no rules, no boundaries and the owners were the same. Van-ins. Shows that had people that were there to show off their imagination and be with people that loved what they did, Not as today where pompous asss show off how large their credit limit is and their complete lack of knowledge of where it all came from. From the first show us your tits sign to a blown chopped and shortened Chevy van with custom interior it was its own time. and it effected my world of airbrushing pinstriping fabricating custom paint in a way that carried on till this day.
