Sorry but if this is true, then Hearts are at it. They have had the fans bail them out last season, with the shares. Then again with season tickets this summer...& yet they could make money on players & refused to sell. Do they think that the fans are sitting on bags of cash?? (Article below) Hearts claim to have turned down two transfer offers for first team players. The club is in administration and is currently campaigning to bring in revenue to allow time for a new buyer to be found. With a first team squad of just 22, including three goalkeepers and a clutch of inexperienced teenagers, administrators BDO have taken the decision not to accept offers for players to allow manager Gary Locke to maintain as strong a pool of players as possible. Hearts are under a registration embargo and would be unable to replace any players who leave. Trevor Birch, joint administrator of Hearts, said the cash raised from season ticket sales had allowed them the freedom to turn down potential transfer fees. Birch, who did not name the players who were subject to interest, told the official Hearts website: “We have been able to keep the squad together for the forthcoming season despite attempts to sign our players. “Given the small size of the squad and the registration embargo we hope that we can continue to rebuff further offers. “The momentum of season ticket and matchday sales has to continue to give us the best chance of saving the club and emerging from this situation as strongly as possible."
