Sorry everyone, Ive been kind of lax on keeping you all updated. I sometimes feel like I keep waking up and doing the same day over again. While there are definite changes and healing taking place each day, the days just seem to be running together. Tomorrow is the big day.....skin grafting day. They believe they can get Cody Fusss grafting done in one surgery. He has healed soooo much, I know I said it looked like he had more 3rd degree than Mike, but that no longer seems to be the case. Things change so much, so fast. I have to keep taking pictures to keep track of the healing. They are doing Codys left arm and the left side/flank. If he heals well, he can come home in 7-10 days. How awesome is that? Mike will require more than one surgery. Tomorrow they will work on his right arm and hand, (about 75-80% of it is burned). And a smallish area on his left hand. They are going to give his left leg, his right chest/flank and neck another week to try and heal. Believe it or not, after tomorrow, the donor sights (front of their thighs) will actually be more painful than grafted sites. The Dr. Also thinks that by taking care of the sights they are grafting tomorrow that it may allow the body to send more healing energy to some of the other questionable areas for Mike. I will put a few pics in the comments. Again, they are a bit graphic, so you can decide if you want to look. Send lots of positive energy to our boys, and the doctors and nurses who care for them. Thanks for all your encouragement and kind words. The Fuss Family
