Sorry for a lack of art updates yesterday. I guess you could say I got tied up. I suppose all my husbands job loss craziness and searching for new and fun ways of making ends meet and feeding the family and flock caught up with me a a little bit. Yes - we applied for assistance, but there was an error on my Medicaid card which meant I couldnt be seen by a doctor, get my prescriptions renewed or get my blood pressure medication. Perhaps it was hard for them to take me seriously because I dont look sick... and quite frankly I dont consider myself sick. (Aint nobody got time for that!) So I bounced in and try to convince a wide variety of doctors offices, free clinics and social services that I am in dire need of my meds, and am told Id either have to wait a few weeks for the error to be fixed on my card, or wait 10 days to be seen by the free clinic. Life can be SO exciting sometimes! So... I was left with no other choice but to go to the ER - where they actually did take my blood pressure.... toss me onto a gurney and decorate me like a Borg. (I was assimilated. Resistance was futile.) They even brought me a lovely boquet (but someone forgot to remove the thorns.) EDITED: I forgot to mention the good news! They did a chest x-ray to make sure there was no damage in my heart and found what they thought might be a blood clot. NOPE - I had an angel sitting on my shoulder. Its not a blood clot! Its only pneumonia... and when taken in that perspective, thats really, really great news! (And I have had a history BP and heart issues for the last 10 years - this is nothing new. Just gotta keep it under control! ) But no worries! Im back at it today and should have those Langshans ready to strut their stuff!
