Sorry for being so vague about why I need prayers at the time I just needed them as fast as possible. I dont know what is wrong with my mom, at lunch I went to check on her and it wasnt good. I guess I just had that gut feeling. I immediately got her in my car and brought her to the emergency room, I had to go in and get help she couldnt make it from the car to the ER due to shortness of breath. Since she had her pulmonary embolism three months ago she has been on the drug Coumadin and they just havent been able to get her levels correct shes been going to see a pharmacist once a week to have her blood drawn and her IRN levels checked. Yesterday her IRN levels were 7.0, that level should never be higher then 2.0. In the ER they checked her levels again and they were very high but the blood work also showed she was extremely anemic, which means shes losing blood somewhere. A massive amount of blood, she felt like she could not breathe because her body literally did not have enough blood in it to circulate oxygen. The original plan was to admit her and start a blood transfusion between two and 4 pints of blood and to start running test to try to find out where shes losing blood because shes not losing it in a manner that can be seen which means its internal. However the plan has now changed their attempting to give her two pints of blood and send her home with me. Now the fight begins I have exhausted every resource of every person I would know to call to get help, I have several supervisors charge nurses and all the other people that might be able to get her admitted on my side fighting for her. None of these people believe that my mother should be discharged, so I need prayers. I am currently waiting on the supervisor to come in and speak to me and see what she has been able to accomplish. Its pretty scary that your mother can lose almost 8 pints of blood and not have a clue where or how shes losing it. I will not leave the hospital with my mother until I know where and why she is losing so much blood.
