Sorry for having been a bit quiet lately, spending too much time out and about with my lovely daughter enjoying the sunshine before she goes to Uni (hopefully). This is going to be a lengthy post! Weve had a few fairly deep and meaningful conversations whilst weve been tootling around the country both about her future and mine and what we think we will do. All of this has led to a HUGE unsettling on my behalf,a bit like being in a top loading washing machine on fast spin!!! Those of you in FB land that have followed my career over the years will know that I have painted in lots of styles, done lots of things with my art and its ended up all over the world which is kinda cool. Each one of those paintings has meant something to me though, florals from my garden, landscapes that have totally absorbed me, cathedral interiors that have left me in awe, terraced streets that have taken me down memory lane, ladies that have given me a giggle, its all been tremendous fun and I have thoroughly enjoyed every last piece of work and the challenges they have brought my way. I have being trying to determine my direction over the past eight months as I thought I had really changed after the dance with cancer, thought all that free spirit had just vanished. The reality is I am a diverse artist, I need to paint what it is at that moment that has my attention. So thats what I am going to do. Youll still get the ladies, but also the landscapes, terraces, flowers, animals, people, still lives that make up my daily exsistance. You have NO idea how good it feels to say this and realise that I have had myself in a metaphorical box! Over the next few days Im going to sort my archives, post new albums of all my work on here and add the new pages to my website. Catch up with you guys soon, thank you for sticking around xxxxx
