Abu Suyyuti (MANKIND IS INDEED STRANGE) 1)People use surah asr to observe salat so as to hasten it not knowing that d surah is talking about the essence of time. 2)people refuse to wake for subhi even when d alarm is ringing but they wake early for morning appointments even without alarm. 3)people spend so much beautifying their bodies while neglecting their soul that will meet Allah. 4)people prefer fighting in movies than fighting in the cause of Allah... Sheik anwar al-awlaki said: running away from jihad will not save you from death, you can die as a coward or die as a martyr. 5)ibn qayyim, how strange, you lose a little from your wealth and you are crying while your life is wasting and you are laughing. 6)we feel bad when people fail in their promises to us but we dont feel bad when we fall short in our convenants to Allah. 7)when we have little we complain, when we have more we still complain but when we lose all, thats when we realize that little was enough. 8)we complain to Allah after every disapointment but we never thank Allah after every smile 9)we compete so much for dis world when it was a place of punishment for our father adam a.s. 10)women advertize their bodies and say chech me out when they are supposed to say lower your gaze, we now have to beg them to cover their bodies. 11)we now worship Allah as if he is in need of our ibadah, those who go late/last to jumah are most likely to leave first. 12)we send our children to christian schools yet we blame them for apostating. 13)we cant weep when we read Quran but we shed tears easily when watching films/music. 14)we refuse to raise our trousers for the sake of Allah but when its raining we raise it willingly. 15)d prophet spend all night weeping in prayer for his ummah but we sleep all night till our eyes swell up. 16)a poor man who refuses to spend 5naira in charity should not also condemn a richman who refuses to spend in charity bcos they are d same. 17)women refuse to cover themselves yet they cover their phones with screen guards and cases, its either they dont know their worth or they value their phones more. 18)we laugh up and down when we dont even know our fate yet some companions wept up and down even when they were already promised jannah. 19)how strange, women expose their hair during d day but cover it at night. 20)men want to marry women that have haya(shyness) but d last time he lowered his gaze was when he bent down to tie his shoelace. 21)we derive pleasure steering at other women but we go mad when men steer at our daughters/ wives. 22)men wear nice clothes when meeting pple but wear ragged clothes when meeting Allah(in salat). 23)shaving ur beards will not make u younger, its just a publicity of ur sins, dey refuse to keep beards but keep dreadlocks in their armpits and thighs. 24)we have full concentration when watching movies but cant focus in salat, watever u give priority is what ur mind gives its priority. 25)you wore socks in school when humans asked you to, why cant you wear it now for d sake of Allah? 26)a wife claims she is a home-maker, yet she spends all day at work, before her kids wakes up she has already gone to work, and before she returns they are already asleep. 27)when reciting Quran, we dont knw wer to smile nor wear to weep, bcos we dont know d meaning and we dont bother to learn arabic, its just like a blind man reading newspaper. 28)we neglect Allahs call(adhan) but we dont mind running half-naked from d bathroom just to pick human phone calls. 29)we trip for celebrities who dont know we exist but neglect Allah who watches over us. 30)a muslimah does not want to be a model, but she poses, snaps and displays her pix, whats d difference? 31)strange, how man expects Allah to forgive his instantly, but he hesitates to forgive other pple 32)married women look unkempt for their husbands but dress gorgeously when going out. 33)strange how youths shout at their parents but speak softly to their friends 34)many pple criticize something sound, when d problem is in their own understanding -imam shinqitee. 36)we now watch sins(films/ music), we exchange sins (films/ music), some even refuse to return d sins(films/ music) you borrowed them. 37)we enjoy Allahs favours witout thankin him but we use his gifts bestowed upon us to sin against him again. 38)if u commit sin, make taubah, if u commit another sin again, make taubah again, Allah is never tired of forgivin us its we who gets tired of askin for forgivenes. 39)ali said, how strange is mankind, he loses his health while seeking for wealth, to regain d health he wastes his wealth again, he ruins d present by worying about d future and loses d future by thinkin abt d past failures, he lives his life as if he will never die and dies as if he were never born (wasted life) 40)ibn qayyim al jawziyah- o you who spend your life disobeying Allah, no one among your enemies is more wicked to you than you are to your self.
