Sorry for the delay in updating, I was COMPLETELY spent when I got home last night!! ugh! SO, my surgeon is STILL very pleased with my progress. The grafts are still holding and my bones are meshing with them well. The actual area where they meet is getting fuzzier. So its disappearing and growing together well. Im still not able to take ANY pain meds. He looked a few up and found that theyd travel through my liver just like the Tylenol. With my enzymes being messed up, Im not willing to change taking anything. Then he said I could take ibuprofen once in a while (words I thought Id never hear out of his mouth!!) until he realized Im taking mobic. He wants me to stick with the nightly mobic however I cant take any ibuprofen with it. *sigh* So more just dealing with it and working through it when I have pain. Also, I am to keep doing what Im doing for exercise with one exception. Not more knee highs in the pool. Im still on a restriction of no high impact activity. No running, jumping or anything like that. When I asked about the knee highs in the pool, I could tell he really didnt like the idea, but he thought about it and said to just be careful. OK, in my book, that means dont do them! LOL I can walk, do the elliptical, ride bike do upper body and everything else. I go back in 6 months and he said I should be ready for a full release then unless something else comes up! YAY!! A report Im very satisfied with!! Thanks for everyone that checked in, sorry it took me so long to get you all updated. That drive alone was rough, but I did it and I survived! That is an accomplishment for me!
