Sorry for the lack of posts, but tonight Ill make up for it with an abundance of info. I guess its a bit of a peek into everything in the works. Things are just getting bigger and better. :) 1. Another fun week in the books! March was our trial month and the turnout was way better than anticipated. There is obviously a need for a non judgemental place for all fitness levels to support each other in our common desire to get healthy. Our avg in person attendance is 23 people a night and at home participation (frequent online checkins) is now at 53!!! 2. Ive rented the building another month. There will be a few modifications to the schedule due to events scheduled at expo prior to fit club starting, but Ill post more as we go. 3. We have someone interested in teaching YOGA!!!! F I N A L L Y !!! Details and negotiations in the works. ;) sounds promising. 4. Our home followers that cant make evening classes due to work schedules has nearly doubled. Some of the home followers have volunteered info that together they have already lost 47 lbs in 4 weeks!!! Congrats! 5. Kirsten Knudsvig Gilbert will be coaching a class Sunday at 4:00 pm. Ill ask that she posts some vague info as to what to expect or what you need to bring. Im hoping to make it if plans allow. 6. Zack Schroeder and Jolene Walth Lautt have done a phenomenal job at making classes fun and challenging, but very doable. I cant imagine the time it takes to develop classes that keep the fitbies interested and the newbies comfortable. They deserve a ton of credit. Please message them for more info on plans and supplements to keep your goals in check and get in shape. (They were the only coaches who volunteered without asking for large amounts of compensation from members, which shows their commitment !) maybe a tip jar is in order ?!?! 7. A special thank you to Brooke Cothran Nelson for her knowledge and info on nutrition. Her handouts have been great and dedication appreciated by all. Feel free to contact her for nutrition info. 8. We have Dylan Stanton Ring working on a time to teach some martial arts and self defense classes. He is an Olympic trainee who teaches Tae Keon Do between being a medic and superhero. :) 9. Thank you to the fair board for allowing us to use their facilities to help the community at a beyond fair rate. Without them we would not have a place to gather. Finally, I cant express in words how grateful I am to live in a community so responsive to Fit Club. It started as a silly idea and has grown beyond expectation. We now know there is need and will start advertising it to the public rather than just facebook. We will have to come up with a group name as our official name since fit club has a partial copyright. We are taking name suggestions...we have a few already (Lisbon in Motion , Evolutions, personal progress, etc) Ok. I have a typing cramp so Ill stop here. :). Please continue the messages as I love to hear from you. If I share your experiences they will all be anonymous. I also encourage you to share on our FB page. Great work team! You are all incredible!!!!!
