***Sorry for the long post*** So, on top of changing my diet, Ive set a goal of eating 1500 calories or less to see if its truly possible for me to reach the healthy weight according to the BMI chart. HOWEVER, I also know that I have a big ass and a large chest. I also know that as a singer, I pack a LOT of muscle through my upper abdomen because of the fact that I use my diaphragm all the time (Zoë Marie Federoff can attest to the muscles developed because of that!) and discovered that those muscles and the corset around it are rock solid when standing. Im 250 pounds right now, and according to a calorie calculator for me to reach my goal weight by Halloween of next year, I need to eat no more than 1887 calories. I remember before I left Atlanta to go witness Faith Minor Mayhew get married to my brother Thomas that the bathroom scale read 260. I started changing those 4 days. Its been almost a month, and Ive only 3 sodas( 1 can of Mountain Dew, 1 Dr Pepper when Josephine Smith and I celebrated her Target job, which I didnt drink all of, and it was half ice, so maybe the equiv of a half can or so, and 1 20oz Wild Cherry slushie thingy) period. Other than that, its been a TON of water. Or 10 lemonades(this is through the month, not one day) and gatorade, which I ran out of a week ago. Im really proud that Ive stepped up my game and have lost 10 POUNDS in a month by just watching what I eat. I have my cheat days now and then where I will eat something sweet or a carb-loaded food (yesterday was chocolate mousse cake, leave me alone!) and my taquitos for dinner tonight because I forgot to thaw my chicken breast for dinner tonight. My average day consists of 4-5 16.9 ounce bottles of Aquafina, normally skip breakfast and lunch(Again, I know its a bad idea, but I dont have food stamps right now, waiting on Georgia) and then I end up eating a steamed, seasoned chicken breast and some type of vegetable. Right now, the veggie is a california blend that consists of carrots, broccoli and cauliflower. Unfortunantly, I usually find myself so hungry by the end of the night that I find something to snack on which is usually loaded with calories and fats. At the start of the month, I bought 2 packages of whole wheat flatbread wraps, a package of romaine leaves, a couple of packages of lunch meat, 4 avocados, a bag of chicken breasts and 3 nights worth of veggies that could be steamed in bag. For breakfast, I had 2 large strawberry banana smoothies by Bolthouse farms, 4 cups of mandarin orange sections, and strawberries that I made agua fresca with. Id also bought stuff for the July 4th, however, that was eaten by all of us in this house. Im doing this for myself, not for anyone else. I know that I need to kick the soda habit because I do not want to end up diabetic like my mom did before she ODd.
