(Sorry for the repost. Somehow it got deleted, so I had to rewrite the entire thing...lol) Once a week I select a person thats had a significant impact on my life, and share something about that person or the experience. This weeks gratitude post goes out to my very dear friend Chip Ritter. I met Chip many years ago on MySpace. As I was surfing around one day, I ran across one of his videos. So I dropped him a message, and an instant friendship was formed. Chip is a very visual drummer, but in a very different way than me. I tend to be more animated with my motions, but I really dont twirl, or spin sticks as much as people think. Chip (on the other hand) is the KING of that stuff. His spins, and tosses are amazingly smooth, and controlled. On top of that, the dude actually juggles sticks while playing (and his meter stays spot on). Weve always been drawn to each other...because we are different. Chip always believed in me (probably more than I believed in myself). When I would get down, I would call him on the phone and he would pick me up. Often telling me that my time was just around the corner. One of the things Ive learned over the last few years, is the importance of listening to your intuition. If you are pushed or pulled in a specific direction, its important for you to listen to that, and act on it. You dont have to know WHY you feel that way, but you do need to trust it, and act on it. That said, today I received a push to write about my friend Chip, and remind him that HIS time is coming. I love you buddy. Youre simply too good to be held in the shadows. I know YOUR time is just around the corner!!! https://facebook/ChipRitterSnareForce1HQ
