Sorry for this late post :/ After the movie, I went to give a massage; I came home and started working on the houses home office, but mainly it will be my massage studio. Taking a break, and I cant simply go on working without me sharing the following: GRAVITY (Sandra Bullock and George Clooney)... I have been getting mixed feelings about this movie. The audience didnt seem to be too empathetic with the IMAX production, but I dare to differ and here is why: 1) AWESOME special effects to experience even in Digital or Real 3D! 2) TRUE... This movie might lack the typical Hollywood storyline, but it is, nonetheless, truly remarkable! 3) Although there is not much action per se, the film is loaded with suspense. It keeps the audience awake and trying to look out for whats coming next. BUT... My personal view on the film (after a little sharing post-view) is that from beginning to end, this movie is not attempting to meet the Hollywood script or typical movie overall. En contraire, it focuses on how humans can become so blinded to the gravity of the soul; meaning, the mere thing that keeps people root-grounded. For example, from the beginning of the movie, all is tasteless and color-less. But as the drama unfolds, colors begin to liven up and show how regardless of how many perils one must encounter, hope is never lost. It is up to us to decide when we pull the plug and let go (physically) or we choose to let go of pretensions and simply let life take its course. There is a lot of spirituality involved and I dont wish to kill the movie for any of you, readers, but I must admit that I was almost ecstatic at how the Cuaron brothers were able to put this film together! Gravity is up for interpretation, but to me it is more about soul searching and how us humans can either be there to help each other whether we choose to or not; or how us human can cause a chain reaction/aftermath with our own wrong doings. Furthermore, it is a movie that teaches the mere values of science and how far man is willing to go in order to understand it. Ultimately, it all falls to the understanding that we belong to this earth for a reason and anything that we do to deviate our minds from this truth is fictional, idiotic, erratic, and above all satirical because whether we come from outer space as particles and evolved in the process or if there was a god that created all, the absolute truth is that we belong to this Earth. If you have seen this movie, Id love to hear what you have to say about it. On another note, I can hardly wait for THOR, HUNGER GAMES, THE HOBBIT, and many other movies that are to be released before the OSCARS! Now, break is over, time to continue working a little while longer; I simply needed to let my writer self share some thoughts. There is more I can say about the movie, but it would spoil it for anyone who hasnt seen it and wishes to. :)
