Sorry if images not in order. DEAFvibe have received a request for volunteers from: Aimee Walker, Research Assistant Health Design & Technology Institute Coventry University Technology Park We are looking for volunteers who have a physical disability AND a hearing or visual impairment (or carers of such people), to find out what they think of a new Smartphone app which is being developed. The app is intended for use by people with a physical disability who also have hearing or visual impairment. The app aims to make contacting Emergency services or a call centre easier, for example, by allowing the person using the app to communicate via sign language. Participants will be invited to take part in a one-off interview where the app concept will be demonstrated, and then a discussion will take place to find out what you think of the app, and whether it could be improved. Sign language interpreters will be available to accompany the participants if required. As a thank-you for taking part, each participant will be given a £15 gift voucher. Attached is a recruitment poster for distribution around buildings or email distribution, and also a participant information sheet which provides further details about the study. Please feel free to contact me if you have any further questions, or to forward this email to anyone else who you feel may be appropriate and/or interested in the study.
