Sorry the following is a long post -- but Im getting sick and tired of stupid and squishy Republicans... As Ive said before, the term Just elect more Republicans! isnt going to do much to turn our country around. We need to elect more Conservatives. Listen to this mushy & ignorant moderate, Colorado Sen-elect Cory Gardner, who went on MSNBC today (THERES HIS FIRST MISTAKE) to say the following about Obamas threat to pass immigration laws on his own: Theres no time, place, or purpose of a government shutdown or default. Thats simply ridiculous, and something that a mature governing body doesnt even contemplate. (THE REPUBLICANS ARENT THE ONES WHO SHUT DOWN THE GOVERNMENT A YEAR AGO, AND WONT BE THE ONES TO SHUT IT DOWN IN THE COMING MONTHS - THATS THE PRESIDENT WHO DOES THAT. AND IF IT WAS SHUTDOWN, WE DONT DEFAULT. WE HAVE ENOUGH TO PAY THE INTEREST ON THE DEBT AND NOT DEFAULT.) Gardner went on to say the message voters sent in the midterm elections was that saying no to everything was unacceptable to address immigration problems. (WHAT ELECTION ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT, GARDNER?! THE OVERWHELMING MAJORITY OF THOSE WHO VOTED FOR REPUBLICANS EITHER HAD IMMIGRATION AT THE BOTTOM OF THEIR CONCERN-LIST, OR THEY HAD IT AT THE TOP IN TERMS OF WANTING TO MAKE SURE WE CLOSED THE BORDER.) He said voters also wanted Republicans in the House and Senate to come together and realize we have to do something on the immigration issue. (AGAIN SEN-ELECT GARDNER, THERE IS NO POLL OR SIGN THAT THE MAJORITY OF VOTERS WANTED YOU TO DO SOMETHING ON IMMIGRATION. YOURE EITHER A LIAR OR DELUSIONAL.) Gardner: The bottom line is, the House, the Senate, the White House should work together. Lets get together. Lets work. Lets use this new era of goodwill, if thats what you want to call it, as an opportunity to do something. (YES, BECAUSE THATS A SIGN THAT YOURE A GOOD LEGISLATOR - YOU DO SOMETHING! IT DOESNT MATTER IF WHAT YOU DO IS DESTRUCTIVE OR STUPID. AS NIKE SAYS, JUST DO IT!) If Obama did act by executive order, Gardner said it wouldnt be the kind of fixes that we need to the overall system to make sure that its built to last for the next 30 to 40 years to replace the pieces and parts that we have today that simply arent working. (HEY, GARDNER! HOW ABOUT USING THE WORD ILLEGAL OR UNCONSTITUTIONAL WHEN YOU TALK TO THE MEDIA ABOUT WHAT OBAMA MIGHT DO?!)
