Sorry, theres a bit of reading for this one. This is a piece I made about a year ago. His name is Mr. Twig (my friends suggest names for my creations and that one stuck out the most) and hes a goblin made from scraps. His skeleton is made from old wire coat hangers, his hands are nylon tubing and wire as are his feet (not shown), he has some rather thick and rigid cables that run through a pvc pipe that doubles as a spine and his head is a large, cut up Ocean Spray Cran-Grape bottle with cheap rubber latex skin (from a sculpt I did based off the minions in Overlord) and a bald cap combined with wire and masking tape ears and eyes made from those tiny spheres you get out of the gumball machine things at malls with the cheapo rubber toys inside and his body is just a bunch of grocery bags duct taped to his wire skeleton and wrapped in plastic wrap and a bit of liquid latex. His teeth are rubber demon teeth from a halloween kit that I cut up and glued to the inside of his mouth (the palate of which is painted red duct tape). I lightly painted him and made the loin cloth from cheap cloth fabric. Hes part rod puppet (I used cg to cut myself and the rods out of the video) and part cable puppet. Ive already started disassembling him to fix the jerky mechanisms and I want to make him better in as many ways as possible. If you have any design or material suggestions or critiques/constructive criticisms, I will happily take them and try to put them to good use. Just keep in mind that my budget is small (almost non-existent) so dont tell me to do something like go and buy a gallon of silicon, stone, and alginate to cast a full body for him because I would if I could but I might have to drop out of college to afford that (or at least skip a couple meals) and if Im going to go that route, I may as well spend the money on a grander project than a three foot tall minion, as great as he is. I love him to death, I swear, though that might be hard to believe considering I disemboweled him to replace the rusty old cables with smoothly flowing ones from a bicycle. But every stroke of the scissors and pull of the pliers was filled with nothing but love... and maybe a little frustration when they got stuck at one point. Anyway, heres a video of him from a few months ago. I would love your feedback, please. Thank you and sorry for writing so much! https://youtube/watch?v=cdZSP-mFjrE
