Sorry this is long, started out as a short message but had too much to say. As the New Year is here and everyone is making their New Year’s resolutions, it always seems that losing weight and getting in better shape is on the list. For most people this will last for a week or two, maybe a month. The problem is, with most diets they are a diet. It is not something people can maintain for a lifetime. People lose weight and go off the diet and the weight comes back. People may see weight loss, but weight loss in itself is not always an indicator of a being healthier. In today’s society everyone is looking for next quick fix when it comes to health. Sorry there isn’t one. It has taken people 10, 20 up to 50 years to get where they are health wise. That will not change in a month or two. I know this from personal experience. After working as a mechanic for over 30 years I had to quit because of health reasons. I always thought I was in decent shape but looking back now, I wasn’t. I was 48 years old, overweight, was tired and had aches and pains that restricted my activities. I was introduced to Herbalife products through a mechanic friend of mine. I started using the products and felt better, gained more energy and notice some weight loss. That was in in 2010, since then I have lost over 30 lbs. and gained over 10 lbs. of muscle. Rose started using the product shortly after I started and she has lost over 75 lbs. Looking for a new career and having people asking us what we were doing, we decided to open our own Herbalife nutrition club. It has been an eye opening experience to find out what it takes to eat healthy and improve your health. With obesity rates, diabetes, heart disease, etc. all increasing Americans are not getting healthier. The National Institute of Health states this generation of children is the first generation that might not live as long as their parents, if they don’t change their eating habits. A major contributor to all these issues is the American food chain, full of processed foods, fillers, preservatives, artificial sweeteners, etc. Food labeling is also misleading to people, many foods can be listed and healthy when in fact they are not. Fast food restaurants get a blamed in the media daily, most chain restaurants should be added to that. When you look at the calorie counts for the average person’s appetizers, meals and soft drinks. It adds up to a couple of days worth of calories in one meal. So what does it take to lose weight, eat healthy and improve your health? It is simple, people have to take personal responsibility to change their eating habits. Educate yourself on what numbers you need to monitor and how monitor them to improve your health, calorie intake, proper weight, fat percentage, muscle percentage, water intake, and daily protein number. Learn the difference between good and bad carbohydrates, sugars, fats, and proteins. Your body needs all these but in the proper percentages. We have had the satisfaction of helping many people improve their health through our programs with Herbalife and our nutrition club Rock Solid Nutrition. If 2015 is the year you want to change and improve your health then please contact us through a comment or side message.
