Sorry this is so long, but here goes. ...I have not annouced this to the world, although a lot of you who know me well already know this. Today is a milestone for me. One year ago, after a long time of soul searching and a lifetime of diets and lots of decision making I had Gastric Bypass Surgery. It is by far the best thing I have ever done for myself. The first pic was actually taken around 2009 but I was at my highest weight then. The second pic was taken 7/4/14. I have lot approximately 110 pounds, tons of inches and just got my one year labs back and EVERYTHING is normal. I never had major health problems but I know I was heartbeat away from diabetes and heart disease. Before I had trouble making it around the block and was tired and run down constantly because I am a busy person. Now Im still a busy person but I am managing to walk approximately 4 miles per day and doing much more than I was. Not doing this to brag I just wanted to post in case there is someone out there considering making this type change in their life. I tell anyone that they should do this, that has to be a personal choice Regardless of what people think this is not the easy way out. You have to do months of prep and go thru a lot of education but you learn so much. You do lose easily but there is a lot of work going into making sure you dont gain it back. It is the best thing I have ever done. My only regret is that I didnt do it sooner.
