Sorry to announce that my old friend, Janie C. Tyndzik, 59, passed away a few days ago on Oahu. She was born July 8, 1955, and leaves a daughter, Amber, 38, and sons, Kailon, 19, and Evyn, close in age. She also leaves some beloved American Bulldogs, including Bam. Her sister, Lindy Swavely, is an atty. on Guam. Her former brother-in-law is District Court Judge Dean Pregerson. In 1990 Janie gave Ron and me our first dog, Leilani, from a Labrador/Golden litter. While I was in the P.I. last week she spent hours writing me about adopting my dogs, how to train them, etc. She also shared some of the medical challenges she had been coping with. Her last e-mail to me was 27 October! My condolences to her human family and friends, including Martha Earle and Gail Perez, but even more, as Janie would have agreed, her beloved canines.
