Sorry wasnt able to update everyone this weekend it was a very busy weekend for me..... My moms surgery was 6 1/2 hours long the doctors said there was more damage than they expected. They built two cages in her neck and also had to take bone marrow from her hip and inject it into her neck. She has a raspy voice from all the work they did and the doctors told her she might not get her voice back. The doctors put her on solid foods Saturday and then put her back on IV fluids Sunday morning because her throat hurt to much. She is in a step down ICU so they can keep a close eye on her and make sure her throat doesnt swell up and close, she will be in there her entire hospital stay. Still no word on when she will be coming home but she loves her doctors and nurses so she is in no rush to be out at the moment. Thank you to everyone who has said a prayer and has been keeping her in their thoughts. -Teresa
