Sort of a pet-peeve of mine... On the Waukegan Public Schools page, parents and kids are asking, Will there be school on Monday? and whoever operates the page says, We dont know yet, will will let you know soon. It is VERY disingenuous to say no word on Monday. They know full well that even if a deal is reached tomorrow evening, teachers likely wont vote on it until Monday and then it will have to be approved by the board. Afterwards, according to what THEY said to the press, it will take an additional 48 hours to open schools (see link below)- meaning if things go well tomorrow, schools wont open until Wednesday at the earliest and Thursday at the latest. Why do they lie to us like this? (L)
