Sort of an encouraging appointment with my surgeon today. Her office had called to bump my time from 9:30 to 11:15 because the doctor was going to be in surgery. The last time this happened we ended up waiting 4 hours, so I said no thanks and Id call back when I knew what my sisters day off schedule was. The doctor herself called me back & said she really wanted to see me & she promised to be done with surgery by 9 and see me first. She was almost on time - only about 15 minutes late. I have a couple fewer restrictions on when I have to wear my back brace (yay). The extreme sensitivity in the skin in my legs means that the nerve endings are waking up (a good thing). Unfortunately it feels like my skin has been peeled off by a potato peeler. There will be some other phase to replace this one, no doubt. She noticed and commented on my weight loss and improvement in walking with the walker. Standing in the middle of the forest as I am, its hard to see the individual trees. Little improvements add up but I dont see them being so busy with life.
