Sorta Disney related...when I was with my Dad yesterday at the hospital - thinking things were getting better and he may have been coming home soon, we were talking about WDW. We were talking about how I want him (and my mom) to come next with us next November. We talked about how I had already booked The Cars Suite at AOA so there would be room for them and how excited the boys are. We spent hours talking about when I was a kid and they would take me and how fun it will be for my Dad to go with my sons. He was doing so much better than he had been. My Dad has been fighting stage 4 bladder cancer for over 2 years now. After his most recent round of Chemo that ended the beginning of September he developed a ton of strange side effects and the past 10 days he has been unable to even really move, walk or dress himself. His muscles were so weak and the pain was so bad. Oh and he NEVER complains. 6 doctors appointments last week and a week in the hospital this week they finally diagnosed him with Rhabdomyolysis. His kidney levels were coming down and he was starting to be able to move... Then 7pm hit. All of a sudden he couldnt read or comprehend what words were. A rush of doctors came in and a CT was done. His brain has started to swell. This morning they did more tests and its been confirmed that his cancer has spread to his brain. We dont know the extent yet or if/how it can be treated. Please send pixie dust and prayers. My dad is my hero. I want nothing more than him to be here for my boys and for him to be pain free and living the rest of his life. I so pray he will be able to go with us next year to WDW. Sorry for the novel. Thank you for listening. I ❤️ this group.
