Sota Fukushi plays lead role in film Strobe Edge It’s announced that Sota Fukushi will serve as the leading role in the movie Strobe Edge, which will open to the public nation-wide in March 2015.The original work was serialized from 2007 to 2010 in Bessatsu Margaret, and Io Sakisaka’s to-die-for big-hit comic for girls will be adapted into a film. Fukushi will play Ren Ichinose, a first year high school student who is popular with the girls at school while giving off the cool and collected impression that he never smiles in class. In this story, Ren Ichinose, played by Fukushi, will be joined by the likes of Ninako Kinoshita, a classmate who falls in love with Ren, as the central characters; Mayuka Korenaga, an older girl who Ren has been dating since he was in middle school; Daiki Korenaga, a classmate played by Jingi Irie who is Mayuka’s younger brother and falls in love with Ninako. It depicts the painful state of love in which all members have a one-sided crush on someone.
