Soul Pajamas Thursday. It’s raining today and I just want to curl up on the couch with a rag quilt tucked under my feet and read a good book. I would make myself a cup of hot tea and listen to the rain pitter-patter on the tin roof outside my kitchen. But, I have to work, pay the bills, and make money for the boss. I began wondering if there was a way to put on those pajamas and take care of my soul, in spite of my day and my surroundings. And Soul Pajamas Thursday was born! Every Thursday, I am coming to you with ideas for comforting your soul, like a warm bowl of chicken soup right there in your inbox, or a cup of chai tea and a good book to read. Let’s put on our soul pajamas and comfort ourselves just a little, if only for a moment. Today, at lunch time I am hitting the road to a nearby park. One full hour in my Soul Pajamas! Have you ever seen a blue heron on the water in the rain? Its mystical as the fog surrounds them peacefully. They stand there still and unmoving.
