Sould Out Quartet FEBRUARY NEWSLETTER Hey Everybody!!! This year is moving right along. The Lord has already been working in lives at our concerts and while we are out and about. We were able to pray for a waitress at Buffalo Wild Wings near Ft. Meyers Fl a couple weeks ago. Our goal this year is to take any opportunity we can, big or small, to witness verbally to those we meet while on the road. We ask that YOU do the same!!!! We figured if we could encourage 10 people every concert to purpose in their heart to verbally witness to just 10 people in 2015, based on 180 concerts this year, that would be 18,000 people that would hear the gospel!!!!! Mark 16:15 “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.” As we mentioned in our last email, we are gearing up for a fund raiser project. Let us explain the whys and whats. The IRS decided to audit the group for 2010 and 2011. In doing so, they disallowed the mileage, office expenses, and bus maintenance that we had written off. They say that we owe $44,000 for the two years. In addition, the state of Ohio thought they would pile on and request another $5500. I contacted our accountant, but he can no longer help in this matter due to personal issues. It’s a big mess, but we know that God is in control! We have hired an attorney to handle this. My attorney ($3500 fee) said that the IRS will not allow me to add back in the original deductions so he advised us to pay nearly half now (which I had to get a loan for), and make payments of $315 each month until this matter is resolved. He expects the process to take about a year and that we should end up owing about $22,000 total. Without going into any more details about this issue, let’s just say that because of this situation, we do not have any funds for a major recording for 2015. Soul’d Out Quartet is asking you, our friends, family, and fans to partner with us to record a Hymns cd. First of all, please pray that we would get all the funding we need to complete this recording. Secondly, please prayerfully consider partnering with SOQT by sponsoring part of this recording.
