Sound Familiar.....please dont be fooled i never really rant but come on now people, have iphones and louis belt really blinded us that much...... ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Movie Reviews Lara Croft Tomb Raider II (Cradle of Life) Director: Jan de Bont Year: 2003 Rating: starstarstar It was better than the first one! More fun, more excitement, more cool gadgets - in general, plenty of Bond! ;) I could smell a bit of content from Rainbow Six (written by Tom Clancy) in a few ideas and things that popped out in the opening sequences. Take Dr. Jonathan Reiss, a brilliant, rich & evil biochemist (John Brightling), wants Pandoras box as the ultimate plague to wipe out humanity (The Project). He gives some selected colleagues an antidote of some sort (Vaccine B) to protect them from another virus he used right in front of them to kill a traitor. That traitor was from MI-6 (again, MI-6 plays a part in Rainbow Six.) Even the virus was an advanced form of the Ebola virus (Shiva - a strand of Ebola mixed with Cancer genes to create a nearly unstoppable virus). It didnt hurt the movie, but I just finished reading Rainbow Six the other day (for the second time) and with all of that fresh in my mind, it was easy to spot that somebody on the writing team probably also read it recently too. Some cool stunts and effects, particularily I liked the new way of jumping off a building (Im being nice -- see the movie to know what I mean), and the Shadow Guardians sequence later on. Theres also some really cool horsework by Lara in this one :) Overall, great job!
