Sound travels at the speed of light! So I want to let my friends - TopicsExpress

Sound travels at the speed of light! So I want to let my friends know that indeed I did accept a job at Nimiipuu Health Center, in Lapwai, ID, and will join a staff of two other PHNs and one CHR. They have a transporter FTE and the Appaloosa Express, so hopefully Ill be out of the transportation business. I was impressed with the projects I will handle ( elder/wood fire/COPD project with UM), my assigned areas ( Employee Health, STD reporting) and a caseload of approx 20-30 patients! I feel like I will have a manageable caseload and well-defined responsibilities, and that sold me! After much stress I found a 2-bdrm loft apartment in the Porter building in downtown Lewiston that will fit the bill for now! It is old, which I like, but hopefully the ghosts wont bother this Colville Indian!! I will be very close to my grand-babyi and I want this special little girl to know me! She started calling me Gamma Carrot, and is tolerating me in her life but is very happy to say bye Gamma Carrot !, when I leave. Itll take time! And Ikee and his little bows and arrows are closer too now! So, im a grandma now! But Ive cried tears because I will miss Inchelium so much. It is Gods country here. It allowed me to heal and flourish. I hate to abandon my patients in Keller and Inchelium. I thank all my patients for welcoming me in your homes and allowing me to become a part of your families. I love you all and hate leaving you! It has been an honor and privilege to serve you! Thank you for coming to my yoga classes and practicing with me, my fellow yogis in Inchelium and Nespelem. Believe me, I get more out of it than you. I love to join our energies together during practice, never know what Ill bring home with me from practice, it is very profound! I really would love to return to Inchelium to retire. No where have I ever seen a closer community! I know Im in Inchelium because everyone waves at each other here! How rare is that! Very! And I could go on and on. Yesterday I also got word on the possibility of a scholarship, so maybe it is time to work on that masters! To my closest family, we will always be close! But I will miss my sisters and brothers Wapato and Cawston! It always helped to know you were close by. And I must thank my Randy Blethen, who is the wind beneath my wings, supporting me in so many adventures and ventures, without a complaint. It is not his to ask why, it is only his to build and pack a box, and nourish me with organic food and love! Thank you all! I am soooo blessed to have you all in my life. I wont forget you, ever! All my love!
