Sounds Of Steam, Sky Marshal and Steampunk as a Socio-Political - TopicsExpress

Sounds Of Steam, Sky Marshal and Steampunk as a Socio-Political Movement, October 21st, 2013 The age and era of Steampunk is one of discovery, growth, and exploration, both personal and in the world as a whole. People fought for equal rights for men and women of all races around the world, and championed causes that meant more than money in their pocket. They reached out to help others who were trying to make their lives better and improve the world in the process. Now, we are reliving this through our hobby. But can it be more than just a playful pastime? Can we actually incite change? Is this thing we do more than just dressing up? And are we willing to stand up and begin a change in our society, and the world, that will make a difference for generations to come? Revolutionary music by Abney Park, The Aeronauts, BB Blackdog, The Cassettes, The Ceiling Demons, The Bewitched, Birthrite, Eli August, Escape the Clouds, Frenchy and the Punk, and the Violet Steam Experience.
