For those of you who are not familiar with Frantz Fanons work, Fanon, a Martinique-born Afro-French psychiatrist, philosopher, revolutionary, and writer whose works are influential in the fields of post-colonial studies, critical theory, and Marxism, is best known for the classic on decolonization The Wretched of the Earth.[12] The Wretched of the Earth was first published in 1961 by Éditions Maspero, with a preface by Jean-Paul Sartre.[13] In it Fanon analyzes the role of class, race, national culture and violence in the struggle for national liberation.
