Soup Kitchen Update 22 September 2014 Date: Mon, Sep 22, 2014 8:49 pm -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Looking up into the clouds there was a Great Voice and it Shouted God Loves the Springfield Soup Kitchen.............. By the Grace of God the Soup Kitchen had another Five Star Night.................. The Springfield Soup Kitchen is the tip of the Sword in fighting Poverty............... When you have lemons you make lemonade but when you have apples you make Candy Apples.......... Thanks Ted for your creativity........... Chocolate covered, Carmel covered, Candy covered apples at the start of Autumn were a kids and homeless mans dream............. Hamburgers and Hot Dogs and seconds just vanished when served to 215 hungry mouths........... God Bless the 25 volunteers who surely added to their treasure of good deeds......... Thanks go to the Light the Night Walk for Leukemia and Lymphoma Society sponsors Saturday night at Clark State for the donation of beautiful apples and leftovers...Thanks go to Catholic Central Alumni who donated desserts and to the 92 year old man who remembered the Depression years when hot food was at a premium and rode his bike from the North Side of Springfield to the Kitchen tonight to offer a donation.. Praise You Jesus please Bless Your servants. Many stories as usual.... Couple, one wheel chair bound, who homeless and were sleeping in a field on open mattress and had stones thrown at them every day were blessed with getting into an efficiency apartment today..... Diabetic homebound man in his last days was not forgotten tonight as food was brought to him from Soup Kitchen........... Thank You Jesus, we love You........... Prayer is the most Powerful thing in the Universe spanning from Dimension to Dimension....... Prayers are requested for great core volunteers Bob Burke and Linda Mikel and the unborn babies of Heroin addicts attending the Soup Kitchen................ Jesus you saved us ........... God Almighty for the Sake of Your Sons Sorrowful Passion have Mercy on us. Our Lady of a Beautiful Place we Love You so much.. Love Soup Kitchen Guy
