Soup Kitchen Update 31 December 2014 New Years Eve Date: Wed, Dec 31, 2014 8:35 pm All Glory and Praise to God Our Father for the poor were truly blessed tonight... Everyday is a Gift from God thats why they call it the Present Bada Bing Pizza and Garlic Knots and so much food were flowing like a river........... All 190 guests had wonderful meal on a frigid end of the year night........ Jason and his crew from Bada Bing started cooking early today to supply a thousand garlic knots and all the pizza served by 23 volunteers to all our thankful guests.... Bada Bing wants to make this a yearly tradition and the Third World of Springfield thanks you......... Gourmet Pizza was exquisite way to end a long year............ Even Channel 2 News arrived to partake in the excitement....... There was so much abundance, some leftovers were sent to the unsung heroes that had to work tonight like the nurses and staff at the SRMC Emergency Room, the Springfield Police Department, the Sheriffs Department, and various nursing homes...... There exists such great generosity and Love in the City of Springfield ..... Neighbor helping Neighbor..... Thank You Lord Story of the night was that Pure Love and Joy that filled the Soup Kitchen which everyone felt..... The Kitchen serves many alone and without families or having anyone to love them ... They are family and loved deeply at the Soup Kitchen... When my wife ,Carolyn, was alive this was her tradition.... It was each year to have a Pizza night on New Years Eve to bring this joy into those lives that have no one..... She wanted everyone to share and know Gods Love..... Carolyn passed away two years ago tonight on New Years Eve. In memory of the Angel of Springfield her spirit lives on at every Soup Kitchen for all the Poor of Springfield and her Love and the Love of God is spreading............ Father we Love You.... Thank You for Your great mercy and love... Mother of God.... Our Lady of a Beautiful Place please continue to pray for us...
