South Africa has lost a Noble fighter. The death of my former Colleague and friend Mario Ambrosini came as a shock. Those who knew Mario, know that he never allowed his illness to get the better of him. He was a source of inspiration in the corridors of Parliament, and while we could see his condition deteriorating, we never imagined we would lose him so soon. Marios contribution to the democratic dispensation stands as an example for all those striving to be in Public Service. His role in CODESA; as advisor to Chief Buthelezi in the Department of Home Affairs; and finally as an MP in Parliament sets him apart as a man committed to rectifying the injustices of the past by empowering ordinary Individuals. Below I have attached my Debate on Cancer and the Legalisation of Medical Marijuana in the National Assembly, which Mario championed. Rest well dear friend. You have fought the Good Fight!
