South Africans what happened to our national solidarity spirit??? - TopicsExpress

South Africans what happened to our national solidarity spirit??? Generations has been part of our South African culture for over 20yrs. These revolutionary & heroic artists who for the 1st time in our soil stand up to correct a system that left people like Ndaba Mhlongo, Mahlathini, Jeff Maluleke, Goerge Lamola etc die or leave behind no legacy when the producing bosses leave behind Elvis Priestly like kinda of estate....We as a nation need to understand that our artists are our national treasures as our treasures we have some duty towards them like rallying behind them when they are courageously standing up to a system that tomorrow may affect your child, neighbours child, relative who may be interested in being our next generational artists...We have an appaulingly disappointing ministry of arts & culture both provincially - national level they could have regulated the industry so much better within the past 20yrs if they knew what they were doing...As a country we should have had public demonstrations against Morula pictures & the SABC like we did in some misguided bring back our girls campaigns! The new artists set to be casts for the new Generations should be ashamed of themselves choosing short term income over long term benefits and ultimately betraying their colleagues!!! We should hang our heads in shame as a country!!!
