South Oldham High School sophomore Shelby Grimm was giving an interview to the schools broadcast journalism crew today during lunch when in walked a special surprise. Her brother, United States Marine Corps LCPL Dane J Grimm, had just arrived in Louisville an hour earlier. LCPL Grimm has just returned from an 8-month deployment, during which he was on the 13th SoCal MEU and toured 14 different countries, including Singapore, Djibouti, Philippines, Egypt, Jerusalem, Israel, Afghanistan, Bahrain and Korea. Brother Drew Grimm, who graduated from SOHS last year, was also in attendance along with their parents. Today was the first time since June of 2013 that they had seen him.
