South Sudan, 2.5 million people paved the way to our Independence, on July 9th 2011. Its historic and experienced! Its vivid! Many people around the world have many questions about this new country. World leaders lack clarity about the real situation on the ground. I believe it is crucial that South Sudans leader understand better what our people needs. If the new republic jump back into war tomorrow, please know that it is not tribal war. ITS GREED AND POWER! Im writing this message to inform all young people not carry out false informations as our previous war in Sudan was presented to the world as muslim North and Christian South of Sudan. If it was about religion, Darfur, Blue Nile, and Nuba Mountains will never experience struggle today. Now, politicians about to burn down our home in the name tribe! If war is given a chance in South Sudan tomorrow, know that it will not be compare to when SPLA crushed Gajaak community for 4 years, or even be compare to 1991 chaos which left Bor community with thousands dead. If a new war emerges in the breakdown of newest country (South Sudan), it can lead to wild bloodshed and hate will remain as a new nations structure, instead of peace. If violence arise up amongst South Sudanese, the damage will be done. It can be comparable to Rwandas genocide and Somalias civil war, combine together. In our current structure in Juba, South Sudan needs our collective effort - not just sympathy from rest of the world - in order to move toward development. Here, a driving force should be to help citizens to claim their rights and have a voice in their future. Weve been sharing our stories with the world yet its not easy. It takes a toll on myself but it is way to promote healing. My question to all my Southern Sudanese from all 68 tribes, yet live in all corners of the world is - Do we want to lead the world generating sad and heart-wrenching stories!?
