Southern Marin Firefighters busy in the San Francisco and Richardson Bay. Fireboat Liberty and Southern Marin Firefighters were busy tonight due to weather related incidents. At approximately 4:30 pm firefighters responded to a reported skiff taking on water and sinking. Four people and their dog soon found themselves in Richardson Bay. Two Coast Guard Vessels retrieved all four individuals and the dog from the Bay. Firefighters were also dispatched to render medical aid and provide transportation. Two individuals were taken to the hospital and the remaining two were taken to their larger boat. At approximately 5:20 pm. Southern Marin Firefighters aboard Fireboat Liberty again assisted the Coast Guard in towing a vessel from the rocks in the Yellow Bluff area of the Golden Gate National Recreation area. The boat was towed to safety and no injuries reported. At approximately 5:40pm the Coast Guard responded to another boat taking on water. Southern Marin Firefighters aboard Fireboat Liberty also responded and subsequently transported the uninjured man back to shore, while the Coast Guard towed his vessel to safety.
