Canberra 4 14 Weather Situation A cold front is currently moving through central parts of New South Wales, and is expected to move through the far north east on Tuesday morning. A low pressure centre will develop within the front on Tuesday somewhere offshore from the central part of the coast, and will intensify and move to be offshore from the Hunter or Mid North Coast by Tuesday night, bringing heavy rain and strong southerly winds to the central parts of the New South Wales coast. The low will slowly move further out into the Tasman Sea on Wednesday, with a high pressure system strengthening to the southwest. Winds and rain along the coast are likely to ease on Wednesday, however some coastal shower activity is likely to persist under the influence of an upper cool trough.
