Southwest Airlines Medical Transportation Grant Program Through the Southwest Airlines Medical Transportation Grant Program (MTGP) we provide complimentary, roundtrip tickets to nonprofit hospitals and medical transportation organizations. Southwest allows participating nonprofit hospitals and medical transportation nonprofit organizations the freedom to determine how to distribute the tickets to patients and/or caregivers. We’re proud to partner with the following nonprofit hospitals and organizations in our 2013 Medical Transportation Grant Program. Each hospital has its own guidelines for administration of these tickets, so please contact the Social Work, Travel/Concierge Service, or Patient Assistance Department directly from one of the links below to see if you qualify for travel assistance. Southwest Airlines is announcing that more than $2.8 million in free transportation is being provided to more than 90 hospitals and organizations nationwide who have been selected as recipients of the 2013 Medical Transportation Grant Program. More than 26,200 tickets in 24 states have been distributed since the program’s inception six years ago.
