Space-Time Thought Exercise For a photon traveling at the speed - TopicsExpress

Space-Time Thought Exercise For a photon traveling at the speed of light, time has stopped in such that its origin and destination occur simultaneously. To say time has stopped would imply the photon could not change state and therefore does not have a frequency. This appears to contradict our observance of the photon having a frequency (changing states) many times per second. Perhaps, if time has stopped, stating the photon can not change state as if it can only have one state is an incorrect assumption. It seems more accurate to state the photon is super positional and super temporal containing all the states which we can and do measure. Not only has timed stopped at the speed of light, but space has also collapsed. At the speed of light the photons entire existence is instantaneous aand within that instant the photon also occupies all the spacial locations simultaneously as for the photon space has collapsed to a single point which it occupies. All temporal states for which we can measure exist at the same instant and all the spacial locations exist at the same place (point). Super positional. Super temporal. Super state. Whereas our relative space and time emerges even today from this single point of locality and instant moment in time as we are able to separate the photons origin from its destination in space, time and transitioning states. Within that instant the photon has already reached its destination to which we have yet to observe in our relative viewpoint. Can we then describe the emergence of space and time as the ability of mass to both divide and quantify the super positional property at the speed of light? For mass to move slower than the speed of light, space and time must emerge (divide) for the mass to move slower through. In this respect, mass {higgs} seems synonymous to the emergence of space-time. Ill diverge from this thought train based on any comments or corrections.
