Ill play in Abu Dhabi at the beginning of January and then Ill play in my first competitive tournament, from 3rd to 10th January in Doha, Qatar, he said at a Banco Sabadell event. These are tournaments that Nadal will take part in as ATP world number three after an injury-plagued season. Being world number one is a question of motivation. Last year I was thrilled to be world number one, but I wasnt any happier than I was when I was number two or three. What makes me happy is stepping out on court and knowing that I can leave with a trophy, if it also sees me reclaim the number one spot, then all the better, he explained
