Speaking as a low-income mother (in the past when my kids were little), I say -- lets not. As usual, the solution to these very real struggles is presented as something that society must come up with. Huh uh. This is a struggle, like every struggle, that has to be dealt with by individuals in their individual lives. Yes, life always presents us with obstacles. But the struggle is worth it and often it clarifies what ones priorities ought to be as opposed to what they are.
