Speaking as one of the biggest Batman fans youll ever meet, I must say I was quite impressed by the first episode of the Gotham tv series, Foxs new take on the the infamous city from the Batman mythos. The show explores its own take on just what it was that made Gotham such a bad place to live in that it needed Bruce Wayne to create and become Batman to save it. Mind you, Im judging this based off of the first episode, so were in store for more surprises ahead. But the show is a very nice take on a mythos that has now become so engraved into our culture. The casting is brilliant. The fact that it all takes place through Jim Gordon(the eventual Gotham City Police Commissioner) is great. Donal Logue as Harvey Bullock is a total scene stealer. And Fish Mooney, played by Jada Pinket Smith, is a nice villain created specifically for the show. That, and it feels nice to have a female antagonist and one who comes off like a real threat. The look of Gotham is quite visually appealing as well, as it looks as if it was taken right out of the comics. Of course, this is just the first episode. So, I think its safe to say that Im hooked and anxious to see where it goes, as it is is from the mythos of my all time favorite superhero =D https://youtube/watch?v=0d1zpt6k5OI
