Speaking of scams -- heres one that Facebook itself is perpetrating. No kidding. FB encourages you to pay them to promote your page, knowing full well that click farms in developing countries will Like your page just to cover up their prohibited pay-for-likes activities. And theyre not doing a thing about it. So, if you pay Facebook for Likes, its likely (no pun intended) that a majority of those Likes will be fake -- and that means your overall ability to reach your legitimate audience will be badly damaged. Meanwhile, Facebook profits from fraud. Nice, huh? Watch this for an explanation. Veritasium usually does explainer videos on basic science. Im so glad he decided to do his two Facebook exposés; this one has gotten 3.2 million views on YouTube. I think I shared this a while back, but its worth sharing again.
