Speaking of seeing films with actors Im not crazy about, I also caught Eagle Eye feature Shia LaBeouf, who doesnt gag me, but leaves me cold. But, hey, Rosario Dawson, Billy Bob Thornton, Michelle Monogan... Really got a kick out of it. The script is preposterous. There is almost no event in the whole thing thats even possible, much less plausible. Every other plot device is laughably contrived, inexplicable thing tossed out. BUT how much does that matter? Its nonstop, driving action with spectacular visuals (including the USDA minimal requirement of wrecked cars, which they do pretty well) mixed with nifty computer stuff. About as mindless as it gets, but fun to watch. Even LaBeouf does little harm. So Id give it three and half popcorns.
