Special Issue - Call for Papers Education Teaching and learning of Mathematics Submission deadline: 30 /12/2013 Scope and purposes It is important that learners acquire mathematical understanding by constructing their own meaning through ever-increasing levels of abstraction, starting with exploring their own personal experiences, understandings and knowledge. It is aimed at mathematics educators at all levels of education, providing a medium for stimulating and challenging ideas, offering innovation and practice in all aspects of mathematics teaching and learning. It presents articles that describe or discuss mathematics teaching and learning from the perspective of the practitioner. Topics of primary interest include, but are not limited to: • different and innovative ways of teaching/learning mathematics • integration of technology into the teaching of mathematics • Pedagogical effort to teach mathematics • Hidden curriculum in teaching mathematics • discussion of the philosophy of mathematics education • reports on new learning resources and workshop materials Important Dates Deadline for submission: 30 /12/2013 Deadline for revision: 10/02/2014 Notification of final decision: 15 /03/2014 Estimated Publication: 31/ 04/2014 Submission Abstracts addressing one or more of these themes/topics or further questions should be emailed to an editor by at peacemunu@gmail Manuscript submissions are invited by the submission deadline.
