Special Meeting - July 29, 1952 The Board of County Commissioners met on above date, in special session, for the purpose of considering a tentative budget for the ensuing fiscal year. All members were present except V. E. Howe. The Clerk and the chairman of the board presented a tentative budget for the various funds in the county for consideration. Said tentative budget was considered and approved by motion made, seconded and carried unanimously. The Clerk was ordered to file the original copy in the records of the clerks office and forward copies to the State Comptroller. The Clerk presented correspondence from the Secretary of State R. A. Gray requesting information as to the correct number of Justice Peace Districts, in order that the ballot could be properly prepared for the November election. The clerk also informed the board that the records indicated that Justice Peace districts were last established and defined about 1931 or 1932 and that they were co-extensive with various election districts in the county. He suggested that the Justice Peace districts be re-established with the lines properly defined in order that the election ballots could be properly prepared. The clerk stated also that many of the election districts had been divided and at present there seems to be an over-lapping of the lines of the various Justice Peace districts. The Board by motion made, seconded and carried adopted the following resolution to-wit: RESOLUTION BE IT RESOLVED, AND IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners in special session in Milton, Florida, on this the 29th day of July 1952, that effective this day, the boundaries of the Justice Peace Districts, Santa Rosa County, State of Florida shall be as follows to-wit: No.1 - The boundary of Justice Peace District shall be co-extensive with the limits of the election districts # 1 - 8 - 25 - 27 - 13.
