Special Operations Bureau Update Due to complaints of thefts from unlocked vehicles in a neighborhood near Redlands High School, RPD conducted a specialized investigation that resulted in the arrest of an 18 year old gang member for stealing items from a vehicle in the 600 block of Roosevelt. Detectives arrested two subjects for stripping copper wire at a construction site located on the northside of town. Detectives were able to identify the subject after viewing surveillance photos taken at the time of the theft. Detectives arrested a female subject for cashing a fraudulent check at a Redlands bank. The Redlands Animal Shelter adopted out 11 cats and 18 dogs last week. The current population of the shelter is 78 cats and 38 dogs.
